Summit Housing & Outreach Programs received a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. This grant was used to purchase a van that will greatly enhance the quality of life for many of our service recipients in North Halton.
The official ribbon cutting ceremony took place at Glen Williams Park. Attending were the Executive Director of Summit Housing, Kay Davison, along with some of our North Halton service recipients and Summit staff. |
“We’ve used this generous grant to purchase a mini van in order to be able to provide essential transportation services for our North Halton service recipients such as attending medical appointments and buying groceries,” said Executive Director Kay Davison. “We are thankful for the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s commitment to improving transportation services for mental health clients in our community.”
The Ontario Trillium Foundation, an agency of the Ministry of Culture, receives $100 million annually from Ontario’s charity casino initiative. The Foundation allocates grants to eligible charitable and not-for-profit organizations in the arts and culture, environment, human and social services and sports and recreation sectors.
